1645 Labs is a technology consultancy based in Toronto. We work on the systems behind a company’s operations: software products, data infrastructure, and AI-driven automation.
Most engagements combine two kinds of work. As advisors, we help leadership frame the problem, weigh the options, and plan a realistic path. As implementers, we design, build, and hand over the systems ourselves, alongside the people who will run them.
We favour working prototypes over long strategy documents, and small systems a team understands over large speculative ones.
What we do
- Advisory. Technical strategy, architecture and vendor reviews, build-versus-buy decisions, and planning for AI adoption.
- Product. Design and engineering of web applications, internal tools, and integrations.
- Data. Pipelines, reporting, and the infrastructure underneath them.
- Automation. AI-assisted workflows that take repetitive work off a team, with people kept in the loop where judgment matters.

New work comes to us by referral. Each engagement is scoped in writing before it begins, from short advisory reviews to longer build projects.
